Our Mission

Our Mission

To support the educational goals of the youth in our region and mobilize the future prosperity of Aroostook County. We realize that education is the great equalizer, and that given opportunity and access to postsecondary education, the future will be brighter for the young people of the county.

Our Vision

The vision of the initiators of the AAI/Gauvin County scholarship fund is to promote higher learning Aroostook County, in turn investing in the region's economic future through investment in our young people.

Who We Are

Aroostook Aspirations Initiative is a non-profit organization that works to reverse the outward migration of Aroostook County youth. We believe that today’s young adults are our hope for the future and are the key to the economic development of The County. We support the creativity, work ethic, citizenship, and entrepreneurship of our youth that will help them as they transition into adulthood.

In today's economy, many students struggle to meet the financial demands of a post secondary education, and this scholarship may provide the funding needed for a county resident to pursue and/or continue their post secondary program, graduate and become an outstanding citizen of The County.
