To be eligible for this scholarship you must be a high school senior from an Aroostook County high school and plan to attend Northern Maine Community College, the University of Maine at Presque Isle, or the University of Maine at Fort Kent.

Students selected to be a Gauvin Scholar should be responsible and demonstrate good work ethic, citizenship, volunteerism and professional aspirations. Students applying should also:
A. Plan to attend an Aroostook County college
B. Plan to attend college full time (12-15 credit hours per semester)
C. Demonstrate financial need
D. Have a desire to live and work in Aroostook County
*Preference may be given to 1st generation college students
A. Scholarship to be given 2nd semester
B. Student must have attained at least a 2.0 GPA
C. Scholars must attend the Gala, Scholar weekends, and community service events sponsored by Aroostook Aspirations Initiative
D. Represent the organization in promotional and marketing opportunities
Students that attend NMCC their first two years and transfer to Husson University-Northern Maine will receive $1,000 scholarships from Husson University the third and fourth years of school.
Gauvin Scholarship applications will be scored by a volunteer board of 10-25 scholarship committee members made up of educators, professionals, and members of the business community using a review matrix. The recipients will be selected by this committee and the names of the recommended Gauvin Scholars will be sent for approval to the Board of Directors.
